Fall is fantastic and so are the pumpkins that show up as Halloween gets closer. But here at Sunset we draw the line at carving the ubiquitous triangle-eyed jack-o-lanterns. With such a wealth of inspiration handy, why limit ourselves to basic geometry? When October rolls around, we make it our mission to find ideas that will liven up the tradition. This year was a personal favorite.
We tapped Seattle-based linocut artist Jennifer Ament to translate her elegant, Northwest-inspired designs onto pumpkins. She said it was something she hadn’t done before but was game to try.
What she created was nothing short of masterful.
