Phew — Japanese seeds germinate
Happy Friday! We’re getting some sunshine here in Menlo Park after a pretty big rainstorm over the past few days.
I always worry about my baby seeds germinating, but this time I was especially concerned. Would all those sweeties I sowed for the Japanese spring garden get washed away? How would they ever anchor themselves with a little root? Would this wind and rain just be way too much for them?
Good news:
I peaked under the floating row cover this morning, and voila — they’ve peeked their little faces out to see the sun. They’re so magical. Welcome to the world!

Welcome little germinates. Yeah, I had seems like the seeds just know what to do. Matti
Yippee!! I hope you tucked them back in under the row cover so they stay happy through the cold weather that is forecast for this weekend.
